birthday eve

Wearing the v-neck H & M sweater from my sister for Christmas, a 20 minute ride to Avila, up some steps, some introductions, met someone named John Daniels from Tennessee, well that's ironic I thought, "haven't played rock band since high school," apples to apples domination, made my first shot ever, all net baby, then missed a lot, stopped, last one, found a nice looking piece of porcelain and said hi to it five times, celeb shot, bullseyes, rode back, talked the whole way, "I'm gonna beat you so bad at NBA when we get back," lots of parking lot steps, "don't run," a little 2K10 action, up 14-12, ADD intervened, swam with Poseidon, got a wonderful birthday text, had a heart-to-heart, ordered some pizza, called and changed the address, car ride # 3, 10 bucks for dominoes?!, extreme catchphrase business, "are you trying to get pounded..........(awkward pause).............to-night?" hahahahaha epically classic fail, sleepy, rode back, night, see you soon, 4:45 am, I guess I'm 20 now.

Gotta love the eves.

focus

24 hours, 18 pages, 6,608 words, 45 post-it notes on a desk, and 1 intense adrenaline rush later and my paper is complete. I even had 38 seconds to spare until the due date.

Paper could be the most important and purposeful thing I have ever written. It is definitely in the top 5 of best things I have ever written and puts the Sociology essay from last quarter to shame. Massive shame.

reflective

I have just finished rereading the most significant posts I have written on this... whatever you want to call it.

I am in the process of writing a paper for one of my classes right now. The subject of the paper is my worldview. Interesting choice for a business class I know. But if I write this paper the right way, my way, then it could prove to be one of the most important things I do while I attend college.

That is how significant this is.

While I was going through my old posts I realized just how often I changed my mind from post to post or day to day, and the evolution of my writings. I seem to have become a whole helluva lot more disillusioned with certain things. More serious. More focused. Those can be both good or bad, and may explain why the posts have slowed to the metaphorical halt of snail's slimy trail. But I can still see some of my old self in the current posts, including this one. I think over summer I forgot how to write on here but now I am slowly getting it back.

Anyways...

I need to get back to this paper and finish it before tomorrow by midnight (well technically today, but like I have said in the past, I'm not one of THOSE people).

That means I have 24 hours to fit my entire philosophy of life into a single consolidated paper.

The resolution for the new year is to do anything and everything I can to become a better actor.

Also, finish a complete draft of a 100+ page screenplay.

In a side note: Ready to get back to SLO. There seems to be nothing left for me in this town anymore.
